William R. Satterberg, Jr. founded the firm that bears his name and has spent his career in the courtroom. He opened the practice in 1982, and in the decades since has handled a broad range of civil and criminal litigation in the Fairbanks courts and throughout Alaska.

A Trial Practice, Civil and Criminal

Mr. Satterberg’s work spans both sides of the docket. On the criminal side, he has defended clients in major state and federal matters and has handled landmark cases involving constitutional rights. On the civil side, he represents individuals, businesses, and other clients in personal injury, wrongful death, and complex commercial disputes. He appears pro hac vice in courts around the country and maintains an affiliate office in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands for complex civil litigation.

Approach

The firm prepares every case as if it will be tried. That preparation is what gives a client leverage, whether a matter ends in a dismissal, a settlement, or a verdict. Clients can expect direct, plain assessments of where a case stands and what the realistic options are.
